Derek Lapsley is a Central California based commercial photographer with more than ten years of professional experience. Prior to pursuing photography full-time, he worked as a registered civil engineer; a career that imbued him with the structural and organizational skills that make his shoots seamless and stress-free. You can be sure that every detail will be attended to and nothing overlooked.
A natural people person, Derek communicates with his clients throughout the shoot and strives to create a working environment that’s easygoing and natural. He seeks first to understand his subject, then execute based on that understanding.
Derek specializes in storytelling portraiture, provides and puts a fresh look on corporate photography, and editorial assignments.
